Emotional intelligence is described as the ability to understand one’s own feelings. It also provides great insight into how emotion influences motivation and behavior. The concepts of Emotional Intelligence have been around since the early 20th century, but the term was first introduced by Wayne Payne in 1985. As a certified emotional coach, I have the tools and training that have taught me a greater understanding of self-management and self-awareness. When you have a greater understanding of emotions, you may have more opportunities to have positive impacts not only on your personal life but professionally too.
